Transportation Planning

Let’s Get North Vancouver Moving Again

Traffic congestion and lack of transit options remain a key issue for District residents.

I have called for a third lane on the cut between Lynn Valley Road and Mountain Highway southbound to ease eastbound congestion on Highway #1. In 2025, while attending the Union of British Columbia Municipalities annual convention, I was part of a delegation that pressed this issue directly to the Minister of Transportation (Mike Farnworth), and the province has more recently committed to reconsidering our proposal.

I will continue to advocate for meaningful investments in transit (including rapid transit to the North Shore) and an expanded Iron Workers Memorial Bridge. Our road system and transit infrastructure remain as they were 50 years ago, while our population has tripled. We need significant investment in transportation infrastructure.
